At Alvast we believe in growth; not only of our company, but especially of our employees. Babet, our resident affairs team leader, is proof of this. She started out as an intern and has developed into a team leader in just a few years.

Babet came to Alvast during her final year at MBO, where she was following a legal course. She started as a resident consultant trainee and was soon given the opportunity to work independently. After her internship period, she was asked to work at Alvast as a resident consultant. “I enjoyed working so much that I chose to continue instead of further studying,” she says.

What Babet appreciates most about her work at Alvast is the variety. “No day is the same, I can plan my day so well, but every day is different,” she says. She considers her colleagues to be another big plus. “We really have a team feeling, especially because I am connected to all offices throughout the country in this way.”

After several years as a residents' consultant, Babet progressed to the role of residents' affairs team leader. “I was ready for something new, and this opportunity came at just the right time,” she explains. However, it was not without challenges; Of course, the team had to get used to it, and they were just switching to the new CRM system. But now that the team is attuned to each other, everything runs smoothly.

When we asked Babet what kind of team leader she wants to be, she immediately indicated that she likes to focus on the strengths of her team members. “I want everyone to have their self-esteem and focus on the things they are good at,” she says. This not only gives her team freedom, but also the space to grow. Regarding her own future within Alvast, Babet does not have a strictly defined path. “I see what the day brings, but I know there are plenty of opportunities for advancement.”
